Now that 2017 has arrived, you will all be looking forward to strapping on your pads and limbering up for a new season, so just to give you a taste of what's in store this year, here are the teams that you will line up against in the ESCA leagues.

The first XI will again be playing in Division 2 and it is a familiar line up with the ever competitive local derby against Fauldhouse being a feature. The majority of the teams are Edinburgh based with Carlton, Drummond Trinity, Holy Cross, Morton and SMRH providing the opposition. Largo and Falkland will require trips North to Fife and the fixture of greatest distance is to the borders and St Boswell's.

The second XI will also play teams from Drummond Trinity, Holy Cross, Morton and SMRH in Division 6.There are also trips to Fife to play Glenrothes and Dunnikier and a couple of Easterly visits to Musselburgh and Tranent, where its is believed a certain Development Officer makes an occasional appearance on the cricket field! Teuchters make up the division this year.

If you want to find out more about your opponents this year, their club websites can be found on the Web Links from the left hand menu on our home page.

Remember that indoor nets start on 22nd January, 7 to 9 pm at Bathgate Academy Sports Hall.

Good luck for a great season in 2017.
